I’m Emily Heller, a comedian and writer who likes you very much. I tell jokes on TV a lot, including shows like Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, and @midnight. I’ve also had my own half hour comedy special on Comedy Central as well as an hour long special, Ice Thickeners, which premiered on Comedy Central Digital in March of 2019. I was named a “New Face” at the 2012 Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and a “Comic to Watch” by both Variety and Comedy Central. I’ve released two live albums on Kill Rock Stars, Good For Her and, more recently, 2018’s Pasta.
I’m also an award-winning television writer, most recently lending my skills to shows like Barry, Search Party, Medical Police, and People of Earth. My work on Barry has earned me two Writers’ Guild of America awards, as well as multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and Producers’ Guild Award nominations. I’ve also acted on shows like Maron, Inside Amy Schumer, You’re The Worst, Grace and Frankie, Bojack Horseman, and Ground Floor.
Along with Bojack Horseman designer Lisa Hanawalt, I am the cohost of the long running podcast Baby Geniuses on the Maximum Fun network.
